Use the listening log for recovery
Audible's log is useful after the fact. If you know you started listening at 11:10 PM and woke at 1:00 AM, the activity record narrows the search. It can also help identify an accidental pause or timer event.
The log is limited to what Audible can observe: playback. It cannot tell whether you were awake, drowsy, or asleep while the chapter continued.
Use a timer for prevention
A sleep timer is the simplest preventive tool. It needs no wearable or health permission. It is a good choice when you tend to fall asleep within a consistent window and do not mind restarting the timer when you remain awake.
The timer is still an estimate. It may stop too early on a restless night or too late when you fall asleep quickly.
Use sleep detection for a recurring problem
Sleep matching is useful when a fixed duration is not enough. SleepTrack combines the playback timeline with a sleep session supplied through Health Connect. It then suggests a point to restart, usually with a small rewind for context.
The result depends on the quality and timing of the sleep data. A Galaxy Watch has been tested with SleepTrack. Other Health Connect sources may work, but should be treated as unverified until tested.
The practical answer
Use Audible's log when this happens once. Turn on a timer when your sleep routine is predictable. Try Health Connect matching when you fall asleep to audiobooks regularly, use different audio apps, or want a visual record of the night.
SleepTrack does not replace Audible. It adds an Android-wide timeline around the player you already use.
